Privacy policy
Last updated 27 October 2026
Arvo Kids helps parents find kids' activities in Sydney's Hills District. It is run by KJ Labs (ABN 56 351 284 462) (“we”). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what we do with it. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988.
The short version
- You can search and browse Arvo Kids without giving us any personal information or accepting any cookies.
- We never ask for a child's name or date of birth. Where it matters, we ask for a child's age only.
- We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't use advertising trackers.
Parents
Searching and browsing. We keep an anonymous record of searches (the words and filters used, such as suburb or age, and how many results came back) so we know which activities parents are looking for. It isn't linked to you: we don't store IP addresses or set tracking cookies. We also count how often each listing is viewed and its website, phone or booking links are used, as daily totals with no details about who did it.
Trial requests. When you ask a provider for a trial class, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), your child's age, your preferred class and any message. We send these to that provider so they can contact you, and keep a copy so they can see it in their Arvo Kids account. We don't use them for anything else or give them to anyone else. Trial requests are deleted 12 months after you send them.
Once a provider has your request, they handle it under their own privacy practices. Contact them directly about anything they hold.
Activity providers
Listings. We list businesses using information they publish on their own websites: business name, contact details, venues, classes, times and prices. We don't copy the names of staff, coaches or volunteers. Any business can ask us to correct or remove its listing; we act on removal requests within two business days.
Accounts and claims. If you sign in to manage a listing, we collect your email address. If you claim a listing, we also collect your name, your role, and any phone number or note you give, so we can check that you work for the business. We keep claim records while you manage the listing; claims we reject are deleted after 12 months.
Emails
We email you only about something you've asked for: a sign-in code, an update on your claim, or (for providers) a new trial request. We don't send marketing emails.
Cookies
Arvo Kids sets cookies only when you sign in, to keep you signed in. They aren't used for tracking or advertising.
Who helps us run Arvo Kids
We use trusted service providers to host the website, store our data and deliver emails. They handle information only on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service. Our database is stored in Australia; some of these providers may also process information outside Australia, including in the United States.
Keeping information safe
Personal information is only available to the people who need it: a trial request can be seen only by the provider it was sent to, and by us. Access is protected by database security rules, and all connections are encrypted.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, by emailing hello@arvokids.com.au. We'll reply within 30 days. Provider accounts can be closed the same way.
Questions or complaints
Email hello@arvokids.com.au. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
We'll update this policy when what we do changes, and change the date at the top. Contact us.
